Ballymun Philosophy Society. Tonight at 7.30 @ Ballymun Job Center. All are welcome. Tonight’s discussion is follow-on from last week’s discussion about the relationship between Science and Religion and how both traditions come to have knowledge about Reality. We will be looking at an emerging trend in science, in particular in physics, that is putting forward a “mystical” interpretation of the physical universe, and, indeed, raises questions about whether there exists anything “physical” or “material” in the common usage of both terms!!! It should be interesting; last week’s discussion generated much debate and confusion – exactly what philosophy should be about!
